A toy theatre project inspired by my family’s tradition of making tamales each year. This piece celebrates the memory of my grandmother and explores the history of tamales through time, space, and cultures. The piece includes a moving panorama depicting memories, tamaladas, and ancestral connections.
Garden of Plenty.
Help bring back the bees! This play follows a mis-informed gardener who banishes bees from the garden in fear of their stingers. The gardener soon learns that this may have been a rash decision. Participants, in role as junior gardeners, must then go on a mission to bring the bees back and mend the garden's ecosystem. Designed for early learners, examines the consequences of fear, explores conflict resolution, practices working together across differences, and asks what roles we might all have in the Garden of Plenty.
